Medical Tourism to China — Advanced Oncology Treatment

HomeMed designs a personalised China treatment journey: choosing the right hospital, pre-trip consultation, handling all visa — invitation — translation procedures, on-site medical interpretation and full accompaniment throughout.

China is one of Asia's leading medical destinations, thanks to its strong investment in oncology technology (Proton, BNCT, CAR-T, stem cell, Gyro Knife) and a network of modern specialist hospitals. HomeMed's three core partners — HYGEIA Healthcare (China's largest oncology chain), GoBroad Healthcare Group (cutting-edge drug research) and Concord Cancer Center Guangzhou (Southern China's only proton facility) — ensure patients access the most advanced treatment protocols. All medical information on this page is for reference; specific treatment plans are determined by the attending physician at the hospital.

Why Choose Cancer Treatment in China?

China is among the world leaders in cancer treatment technology, with internationally-accredited private oncology centres, top specialists and advanced technologies like Proton, CAR-T, BNCT — at competitive costs versus the US and Europe.

Advanced Cancer Treatment Technologies

Proton Therapy

Proton therapy targets the tumour precisely using high-energy proton beams, creating the Bragg peak effect — delivering maximum radiation dose exactly at the tumour site and stopping almost immediately beyond it. This protects surrounding healthy tissue, especially important for head-and-neck, paediatric and anatomically complex cancers. Concord Cancer Center Guangzhou is Southern China's only advanced proton facility. For reference.

Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT)

BNCT delivers a boron compound into cancer cells, then a neutron beam triggers a fission reaction that destroys them from within — cell-level selectivity with minimal healthy tissue impact. Well-suited to recurrent brain cancer, salivary gland cancer and certain melanomas. For reference.

CAR-T Cell Therapy

CAR-T is a breakthrough immunotherapy: the patient's own T cells are re-engineered to specifically recognise and destroy cancer cells. GoBroad Healthcare Group is a pioneer in clinical CAR-T in China, especially for blood cancers and lymphoma. For reference.

Stem Cell Therapy

Haematopoietic stem cell transplant rebuilds the immune system after high-dose chemo or radiation, widely used for leukaemia, multiple myeloma and autoimmune conditions. Mesenchymal stem cells are being applied for post-treatment tissue repair at several leading Chinese centres. For reference.

Gen-5 Gyro Knife & Hainan Medical Free Trade Zone

Gen-5 Gyro Knife irradiates simultaneously from multiple directions with sub-millimetre precision, non-invasively — suited to brain, spinal and small tumours. The Hainan Medical Free Trade Zone provides access to the world's latest cancer drugs not yet available on the mainland, offering additional treatment choices for international patients. For reference.
