During your treatment stay in China, keep in mind: (1) Currency — Chinese Yuan (CNY/RMB); exchange at banks or use WeChat Pay/Alipay via international wallets; (2) SIM card — buy a China travel SIM at the airport or use an international eSIM; a VPN is needed for Google/Facebook; (3) Transport — Didi Chuxing (China's Grab equivalent) and metro; (4) Food — restaurants near hospitals usually have English menus; vegetarian and halal options are available in major cities; (5) Communication — WeChat is the primary messaging app in China; save the HomeMed hotline number before you go.
