Familiar factors include blood pressure, blood lipids, blood sugar, weight, smoking and activity level. They are often closely linked, so improving one factor can positively affect the others.
The foundations of heart protection include a balanced diet, regular exercise, not smoking, limiting alcohol and managing stress. There is no single magic solution; consistency of habits is what makes the difference.
